Eutierra

Teresa Giannico walked and photographed the fields, vineyards, gardens and banks of the streams that make up La Raia's vegetal mosaic. Eutierra, Fondazione La Raia's eleventh work, is the result of a transfiguration between the real and the imagined, the work that memory does, understood as the sum of stratifications (tactile, olfactory, visual) that combine to create in our minds ideal snapshots of what we have experienced.

With a technique that is the result of numerous steps that drew on the photos shot, Giannico superimposes sources from different levels, through a strictly personal process, close to the memory and perception of that moment. La Raia's landscape portrayed in Eutierra is real, imagined and recomposed at the same time. As are the most precise impressions and memories we have.
